NCU Board meeting on 26 February 2019 in Copenhagen
At the meeting, inspirational presentations were given regarding:
- Data ethics in relation to social media – pitfalls, awareness points and opportunities v / Pernille Tranberg, DataEthics Consulting
- Inequality in survival after cancer v / Susanne Dalton, senior researcher, chief physician, PhD, The Danish Cancer Society’s Research Center
The NCU Board decided to:
- launch two joint Nordic strategic projects on inequality and cancer and snus and new tobacco products (including smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products) respectively. Calls for project applications will be published later
- conduct a workshop on Inequality in cancer 4 September 2019 for representatives of the Nordic cancer associations and authors behind the Danish Cancer Society’s White Paper on Inequality in Cancer

NCU has set up a working group for exchange of experience regarding presenting results/outcome from research to the general public. The working group organizes a workshop before the summer holidays in order to exchange experiences and ideas.
